Archery & Riflery

As one drives into camp passing through the tree farm, the first clearing on the left signifies that you have arrived at the archery range. The riflery range is located down a forest path behind the archery field.

In archery, campers begin by learning how to use a re-curve bow safely, learning the parts of the bow and arrow, proper stance, rules to follow on the archery range, care and repair of equipment and proper shooting etiquette. As they progress, campers will also have the opportunity to practise with a compound bow and to improve their accuracy.

In riflery, campers use air rifles to shoot at targets. The focus is safe use and care of an air rifle. As campers progress in skill, they have the opportunity to shoot from three different positions.
