Climbing

Climbing at Nominingue takes place on a 30 ft. fibreglass wall constructed in 2011. This wall was constructed in the middle of the old clay tennis courts at the centre of Camp.

Campers learn a variety of techniques including proper breathing, various uses of both hand and feet; they learn how to belay and are taught knots used by climbers. Campers learn key principles that ensure safe climbing as they progressively attempt more challenging routes. Instructors also use a number of games to keep the campers motivated and excited about climbing.

In 2015, we added a 10 ft. high bouldering wall, with a 45 ft. circumference, beside the climbing wall. We are excited at the new possibilities this addition brings to our climbing program.
